It all started in prayer. A handful of missionaries and intercessors gathered, gripped by one bold belief: that missions could rise again in America—and go to the ends of the earth. Their prayers turned into bold steps of faith. In 2016, at a stadium gathering in Los Angeles, over 70,000 believers responded to the call to go, raising their shoes as a sign of surrender to be sent anywhere for the Gospel. That moment didn’t end in the stadium. It ignited a fire. What began in intercession has grown into a global movement. Today, THE SEND is activating a generation to bring the Gospel to campuses, communities, and nations.

Our mission is to catalyze a generation into wholehearted obedience to Jesus and the Great Commission, fueled by unity around these essential truths. THE SEND stands firmly within the stream of historic Christian orthodoxy, holding to foundational statements of faith such as the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, the Lausanne Covenant, and the Langham Partnership Affirmations and Commitments. We are rooted in these shared beliefs as we work broadly and collaboratively across the evangelical movement, from conservatives to charismatics, to reach the world with the Gospel.

The vision of THE SEND is to mobilize a generation into missional action, reaching every campus, community, and nation with the Gospel. We do this by rallying the masses, partnering with churches and mission-driven organizations, and connecting them all to take bold, strategic steps that advance the Great Commission. We see an opportunity for a whole generation of believers to arise who will have no disconnect between their belief and action. Who, instead of settling for a life of complacent Christianity, will be activated into their evangelistic and missional calling.
